... all day, I thought I'd paint this blog a little, too.
The blog certainly is easier to paint than the house.
In other news of little interest to anyone, I attended my first professional football game Thursday evening, as I went to Indianapolis for the Colts' season opener, which was also the NFL's season opener. I doubt that I'd go again -- it's far too costly, and you can see the game much better at home on television -- but it was fun on a one-time basis, and my daughter, who's a rabid #88-jersey-wearing Colts fanatic, was highly excited to go. My voice was useless on Friday, since it turns out that it is the affirmative duty of all Colts supporters to make as much noise as humanly possible whenever the opponents have the ball and line up for a play. But that's OK ... it was a good show, and (of course!) compares quite favorably with painting the house.

What a great game that was! I am also a rabid fan of a certain left-coast team known for it's red & gold colors. Anyway, I've been to a couple NFL games in-person and much prefer the comfort of my livingroom as well.
Nice paint job BTW...
Well, thank you so much for your kind words, Cathy! I was ready for a change. And I can't really take credit if it looks all right ... just picked out a slightly different canned template and shuffled a couple of things.
So, a 'Niners fan! I just looked at the Colts' schedule, and I see that I'm free to root for San Francisco every single week, as they and Indy don't play each other this year. And, in fact, they're leading Arizona 7-zip even as I type this. I hope that continues as I sleep, which is where I'm headed now.

Okay...I'll be back later to bleg for pointers.
I just realized that I've never been to a professional football game: baseball, basketball, World Cup soccer, hockey, but no football. Early on I was given these crucial pointers by Mr. Nearing: baseballs and pucks are very, very hard and can kill; soccer balls and basketballs are much softer and less lethal. Oh, and sometimes baseball bats go flying into the crowd, too.
So if you're watching a baseball or hockey game and notice a woman in the crowd wearing a catcher's mask, it's me.
I'd rather take a beating than paint a house. I'm hoping I can get mine sided or something before it needs painting again. ;o)
