Every Bird Needs Two Wings

Especially birds of prey -- they need both a left one and a right. Doug Newman has a nice short piece here on a very simple idea which, unfortunately, interferes with the simple, football-game sort of fun that we all seem to like so much. You know, where there's two colors of jerseys, and life's main business is just to hit everybody wearing the "other" color jersey.

It's a quick read; give it a look.

Thank you (I think -- I liked the old stuff, too). I shall, of course, always do the best I can.

Newman nails a lot of truths that most of America misses. I can't agree with his conclusion, though:

The grand battle is between liberty and tyranny.

While liberty and tyranny are certainly contained in the mix, the real battle is between good and evil.

Whatever liberty man provides for, as our founding fathers attempted to do, will ultimately be erased if the people have not submitted themselves to God - which, of course, are the "interesting times" in which we live. :)

Sorry, I thought his article(?) was simply wrong, or maybe it's better to say that it was far too simplistic to be sensible. The sentiment I do agree with, however. The dichotomy we've been presented with is just stupid. It is just too bad that the biology is based upon a binary system (male/female, left right, two of everything pretty much) and has translated into all of our cultures. Better for us had we based our understanding upon just light, such as seen refracted through a prism, instead of both light and dark as the dark simply does not exist.
